Food-Grade & ISPM-15 Heat-Treated Pallets
Clean, heat-treated, export-ready pallets for food and beverage processors. ISPM-15 certified to ship anywhere — built and delivered from Boardman, Ohio on our own fleet.
Why food & beverage shippers choose heat-treated wood
Food and beverage processors need pallets that are clean, dry, and export-ready — without the moisture, contamination, or pest risk that untreated wood can carry. United Wood Products heat-treats every export pallet to the ISPM-15 standard: the wood core is held at a minimum of 56°C, which also drives down moisture and kills pests and mold-causing organisms. The result is a cleaner, lighter, more stable pallet suited to food-grade supply chains.

Built for export out of the box
If your product ships internationally, wood packaging must comply with ISPM-15 (the FAO international phytosanitary standard) or it can be refused at the border. We build that compliance in from the start, so your co-packers and freight forwarders never get held up.
Frequently asked questions
Are your pallets food-grade?
We supply clean, heat-treated, low-moisture pallets appropriate for food and beverage handling. Heat treatment to 56°C reduces moisture and kills pests and mold organisms without chemicals. Tell us your specific requirements and we'll spec the right pallet.
What is ISPM-15 and do I need it?
ISPM-15 is the international standard for wood packaging used in export. If your product leaves the country, the pallet generally must be ISPM-15 heat-treated and stamped, or it can be rejected at customs.
Can you heat-treat our existing pallets?
Yes. We can heat-treat pallets you already own to ISPM-15 in addition to supplying new ones. Minimum order applies.
